When my sister and I were learning to sew (many years ago) Mother always told us to stick with Simplicity, Butterick, and McCall's patterns, as Vogue patterns always have more pieces than the others, to achieve the same affect. As I got older, I realized it was those extra pieces and more instructions that give Vogue patterns their beautiful style. Chose whichever pattern you like best, but don't rule out Vogue!
